Description
Completely rebuilt Studer S33 Universal Cylindrical Grinder, to a true, high-accuracy condition. This machine has undergone a thorough, documented rebuild process focused on geometric accuracy, full bearing surface restoration, and long-term reliability. Ideal for precision grinding applications in aerospace, medical, tooling, and high-tolerance manufacturing environments. This machine has been rebuilt to the new factory tolerance. There is a one-year warranty on machine alignment.

Rebuild Scope (Full List)
1. Machine disassembled to the extent required to perform all alignment procedures.
2. All way surfaces machined, scraped, ground, and fitted to full bearing.
3. Bed ways cleaned, wear material removed, machine-scraped and aligned to a true plain.
4. Table machine-scraped and aligned to bed ways; moglice applied to maintain wheelhead centerline.
5. Wheelhead saddle machined, scraped, and aligned to bed ways; Moglice used to maintain centerline.
6. Wheelhead cross slide machined, scraped, and aligned to top saddle ways.
7. Wheelhead surveyed; spindle and spindle bearings evaluated.
8. X and Z axis ball screws surveyed and rebuilt.
9. X and Z axis ball screws precision-aligned using new thrust bearings.
10. New way wipers installed where applicable.
11. Lubrication system cleaned and flushed; new lines and metering units installed as required to ensure proper oiling. New pump installed.
12. Workhead disassembled and rear bearings replaced with new bearings.
13. Hydraulic system cleaned and inspected. New pump installed.
14. Way covers replaced with new.
15. Electrical system cleaned and inspected.
16. New wheelhead belts supplied and installed.
17. New valves and pumps were installed for the hydraulic system.
18. The drive is sent out for repair.
19. Complete reassembly and testing performed, including geometric verification and test grinding.
