Okamoto Model SIG154h CNC Solar Silicon Ingot Grinder
Okamoto-SED has released the Model
SiG154H Silicon Ingot Grinder,
designed to coarse and
fine grind all four
sides and chamfers of a solar silicon
ingot automatically wi
th a high degree of
accuracy. Ingot crystals cropped from
the original full ingot
do not always have
parallel end cut surf
aces. Floating head
and tail stocks enable automatic
centering and secure clamping of the
ingot and provide stable attachment for
processing.
Productivity is optimized by utilizing
opposing grind wheels for both coarse
and fine finishing, which enables
simultaneous grinding of two opposing
sides or chamfers. The system features
high output power and high accuracy
control, which results
in superior finish
and minimum residual depth of damage.
The SiG154H will accommodate up to
200mm diameter ingots up to 500mm
long. An optional stocker/loader is also
available to enable continuous automatic
operation
